NFL games were among the most frequently visited listings on the former StreamEast network.
The attraction was easy to understand. A single schedule appeared to offer Sunday afternoon games, Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, the playoffs, NFL RedZone and the Super Bowl without asking viewers to understand several broadcasting arrangements.
That convenience did not mean the broadcasts were authorised.
The original StreamEast operation was dismantled in August 2025, with its shutdown announced publicly on 3 September 2025. Websites now using StreamEast, Stream East or similar wording should not automatically be treated as continuations of that network.
For NFL supporters in the United Kingdom, there are currently three main legal viewing routes:
- NFL Game Pass International through DAZN;
- Sky Sports and NOW;
- free-to-air coverage through 5 and 5ACTION.
Each option serves a slightly different type of viewer. Game Pass offers the broadest league-focused service, Sky combines the NFL with a wider sports package, and 5 provides selected games without a separate sports subscription.
The 2026 regular-season schedule has already been released, including three London games in October. Sky has confirmed coverage of the 2026 season, playoffs and Super Bowl LXI, while the NFL’s current UK viewing information continues to list Game Pass, Sky and Channel 5 as the principal services.
What People Mean by “Stream East NFL”
The phrase can describe several different searches.
A viewer may be trying to find:
- a particular team’s game;
- the complete Sunday schedule;
- NFL RedZone;
- Thursday Night Football;
- Sunday Night Football;
- Monday Night Football;
- a London game;
- the playoffs;
- the Super Bowl;
- a replay after the live broadcast;
- NFL Network programmes.
Those products are not always available through the same route.
A weekly game may appear on Sky Sports, 5 and Game Pass at the same time. Another may be exclusive to Sky during its live Sunday window. RedZone is available separately from an individual full-game broadcast, while NFL Network is a continuous channel rather than a single fixture.
The first step is therefore to identify what type of NFL coverage is required rather than searching only for the Stream East name.
Where Can You Watch the NFL in the UK?
The NFL’s UK viewing page identifies NFL Game Pass on DAZN, Channel 5 and Sky Sports as the main television and streaming choices.
Game Pass is presented as the broad league service, including regular-season games, playoffs, the Super Bowl, RedZone, NFL Network, documentaries and other league programming.
The NFL also lists weekly free-to-air Sunday games on 5 and 5ACTION, along with playoff and Super Bowl coverage.
Sky Sports provides a dedicated NFL channel, selected Sunday games, the major prime-time fixtures, RedZone, the playoffs and the Super Bowl.
The best service depends on whether the viewer wants:
- one or two free games each week;
- selected NFL coverage within a larger sports package;
- access to almost the entire league schedule;
- replays and condensed games;
- RedZone;
- NFL Network throughout the week.
NFL Game Pass on DAZN
NFL Game Pass International is the league’s direct subscription product for supporters outside the United States, including viewers in the UK.
The NFL describes Game Pass on DAZN as providing regular-season games, playoffs, the Super Bowl, NFL RedZone, NFL Network and additional league programming.
DAZN’s Game Pass product has also offered features such as:
- the authentic American television broadcast;
- live and on-demand games;
- Game in 40 condensed versions;
- downloadable content;
- NFL RedZone;
- alternative broadcasts;
- multi-game viewing on eligible plans;
- multiple-device access depending on the subscription.
The exact plans and prices should be checked before the 2026 season begins. As of 17 July 2026, DAZN’s UK product page was still displaying packages that expired on 31 July 2026 and referred mainly to the completed 2025 season. This indicates that new-season terms may still be in the process of being published.
Do not rely on a screenshot or price from the previous season. Confirm:
- the 2026 subscription price;
- whether payment is monthly or for the full season;
- the minimum commitment;
- automatic renewal terms;
- supported devices;
- the number of simultaneous streams;
- which features belong to each plan.
Does Game Pass Really Show Every NFL Game?
The NFL markets Game Pass as the broadest way to watch the league in the UK, but live exclusivity arrangements must be considered.
Under the current Sky agreement, one game in the Sunday 6pm window and one game in the Sunday 9pm window are exclusive to Sky Sports. Those selected games are blacked out live on NFL Game Pass in the UK.
Sky also has first choice in both windows.
This means Game Pass can carry almost the entire weekly schedule while still being unable to show two selected Sunday games live in Britain.
A viewer following one particular team should check the weekly schedule before assuming every game will be available live through Game Pass.
The official NFL schedule can show the relevant services according to the viewer’s location. The final selection of flexible late-season games may not be confirmed until close to the playing date.
What Is an NFL Blackout?
A blackout means a live game is unavailable through one service because another broadcaster has exclusive rights to that game within the region.
In the UK, the most relevant example involves Sky’s selected Sunday games and NFL Game Pass.
The game still exists in the Game Pass schedule, but the live video may be unavailable during the exclusive Sky window.
This is not necessarily a technical error.
Refreshing the application, changing the video quality or reinstalling Game Pass will not unlock a game that is restricted by a broadcasting agreement.
The appropriate response is to check whether the game has been selected by Sky.
Sky Sports NFL
Sky Sports remains a major NFL broadcaster in the UK.
Its current agreement provides:
- first choice of one Sunday 6pm game;
- first choice of one Sunday 9pm game;
- an additional Sunday 6pm game;
- up to two more games in the later Sunday window;
- Thursday Night Football;
- Sunday Night Football;
- Monday Night Football;
- Thanksgiving games;
- NFL RedZone;
- European NFL games;
- every playoff game;
- the Pro Bowl;
- the Super Bowl;
- NFL Network and NFL Films programming.
Sky’s 2026 schedule guide confirms that it will show the new season, every London and European game, the playoffs and Super Bowl LXI. It also directs viewers towards NOW as the contract-free streaming route for Sky Sports.
Sky may be the more practical option for households that already use it for Premier League football, Formula 1, cricket or other sports.
A dedicated NFL viewer wanting access to as many teams and games as possible may prefer Game Pass, subject to the Sky blackout arrangement.
Watching Through NOW
NOW provides streaming access to Sky Sports without requiring a traditional satellite television installation.
It can suit a viewer who wants:
- Sky’s exclusive Sunday selections;
- the London and European games;
- the playoffs;
- the Super Bowl;
- NFL coverage alongside other Sky sports;
- a shorter commitment than a traditional television contract.
The current Sky schedule promotes NOW as the no-contract streaming option for the 2026 NFL season.
Before joining, check:
- whether the required Sky Sports channels are included;
- the current membership price;
- any picture-quality upgrade;
- simultaneous-device rules;
- cancellation and renewal terms.
A NOW membership may be poor value when purchased for only one ordinary Sunday game, but useful during the playoffs or for a household watching several Sky sports.
Free NFL Games on 5 and 5ACTION
The NFL and Paramount UK announced a multi-year free-to-air partnership beginning with the 2025 season.
Under the agreement:
- one Sunday game is shown at 6pm on 5;
- another Sunday game is shown in the later window on 5ACTION;
- both games are also streamed;
- selected playoff games are included;
- the Super Bowl is shown free-to-air;
- UK and Ireland international games form part of the package;
- Thanksgiving specials and additional programming are included.
The NFL’s current UK viewing page continues to describe Big Game Night on 5 every Sunday, followed by a later live game on 5ACTION, along with playoff and Super Bowl coverage.
This is the strongest option for casual viewers who do not need to choose their own team every week.
The limitation is selection. Channel 5 decides which games it broadcasts, so a supporter cannot assume that their preferred team will appear.
Is Channel 5 Completely Free?
Channel 5’s NFL coverage does not require a separate paid sports subscription.
However, UK television-licensing rules still apply when live television is watched or recorded. The same general requirement applies whether the programme is viewed through a traditional television, website or streaming application.
Viewers should also create or use any account required by the broadcaster’s streaming platform and follow its current terms.
The absence of a sports-subscription charge does not mean every NFL game is available. The free package covers selected games rather than the complete weekly schedule.
What Is NFL RedZone?
NFL RedZone is a Sunday programme that moves between games as teams approach scoring opportunities.
Instead of showing one match from beginning to end, it follows the most important action across the afternoon schedule.
It is popular with:
- fantasy-football players;
- neutral supporters;
- viewers following several teams;
- people who prefer continuous action;
- fans who want to see scoring plays across the league.
NFL RedZone is included with Game Pass and is also shown through Sky. The NFL’s UK page identifies Sky Sports Mix as a RedZone outlet, while the current Sky agreement confirms that the programme remains part of its coverage.
RedZone is not a replay of one game and should not be purchased with that expectation.
A supporter who wants every snap of a single team should select the full-game broadcast instead.
NFL Network
NFL Network is the league’s continuous television channel.
Its schedule can include:
- Good Morning Football;
- The Insiders;
- NFL Fantasy Live;
- documentaries;
- historical games;
- training-camp coverage;
- schedule and draft programming;
- interviews and analysis.
Game Pass includes NFL Network, while Sky’s agreement also includes major NFL Network programmes and additional NFL Films content.
NFL Network does not carry every regular-season game. It is a supporting channel alongside live-game broadcasts.
Thursday Night Football in the UK
American viewing guides often describe Thursday Night Football as a Prime Video product.
That information relates primarily to the United States and can confuse UK viewers.
Sky’s current UK agreement includes every Thursday Night Football game, while Game Pass provides the broad international league service.
A UK viewer should not assume that an American Amazon Prime subscription or US streaming service is required.
Check the NFL’s UK viewing information and the local broadcaster schedule rather than using a US television guide.
Thursday night games usually begin in the early hours of Friday morning in the UK, although exact times should be confirmed because seasonal clock changes can temporarily alter the difference.
Sunday Afternoon Games
The main NFL Sunday schedule begins during the UK evening.
Games are divided into early and late American windows. In Britain these are commonly described as the 6pm and 9pm periods, although exact start times can vary.
UK viewers can encounter several options during these windows:
- selected games on Sky Sports;
- two free-to-air selections through 5 and 5ACTION;
- most remaining games through Game Pass;
- RedZone through Sky or Game Pass.
Sky’s first-choice game in each main Sunday window is blacked out live on Game Pass.
Supporters following one team should check the official schedule each week rather than assuming the same service will carry every fixture.
Sunday Night Football
Sunday Night Football takes place after the main Sunday schedule and is normally shown during the early hours of Monday morning in Britain.
Sky’s current agreement includes every Sunday Night Football game. Game Pass also forms part of the NFL’s broad international viewing service.
Because these games begin late, replay features can be valuable for UK viewers who cannot watch live.
Check whether the chosen service offers:
- the complete replay;
- Game in 40;
- spoiler controls;
- downloadable viewing;
- the American broadcast;
- alternative commentary.
These features can differ by plan.
Monday Night Football
Monday Night Football is generally played overnight from Monday into Tuesday in the UK.
Sky’s agreement includes every Monday Night Football game, while Game Pass offers the international subscription route.
As with Thursday and Sunday night games, a US guide may name an American television network or service that is not the correct purchase route for a UK viewer.
Use the NFL’s country-specific schedule.
NFL+ Is Not the Main UK Subscription
NFL+ is a United States-focused product.
International fans are directed towards NFL Game Pass International on DAZN for live regular-season games.
A UK viewer may encounter NFL+ branding on American articles, social posts or the US schedule. That does not mean NFL+ provides the same live package in Britain.
The correct UK options remain the services identified by the NFL’s regional viewing page.
The 2026 NFL London Games
Three regular-season games will be played in London during October 2026.
The confirmed fixtures are:
- Indianapolis Colts at Washington Commanders — Sunday, 4 October 2026, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium;
- Philadelphia Eagles at Jacksonville Jaguars — Sunday, 11 October 2026, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium;
- Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars — Sunday, 18 October 2026, Wembley Stadium.
Each is scheduled for 2:30pm British time. The Jaguars will play in London on consecutive weekends, first at Tottenham and then at Wembley.
Sky has confirmed that every London and European NFL game will be shown as part of its 2026 coverage.
The NFL’s multi-year agreement with 5 also includes UK international games within its free-to-air package, but viewers should confirm the individual 2026 channel schedule closer to each fixture.
Why the Jaguars Play in London So Often
The Jacksonville Jaguars have built a long-running relationship with the UK market.
For 2026, the team will again play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Wembley. The NFL said the Jaguars had taken part in 14 London regular-season games by the time the 2026 fixtures were announced, including extensive experience at Wembley.
This does not make every Jaguars game a UK television exclusive.
Away from the London fixtures, their schedule follows the same weekly selection and Game Pass blackout arrangements as other teams.
Other International Games in 2026
The NFL scheduled a record nine international games across the 2026 season.
Alongside the three London matches, games are planned in locations including Paris, Madrid, Munich, Melbourne, Mexico City and Rio de Janeiro.
Sky’s current agreement includes all European NFL games.
Game Pass should also be checked for each international fixture, while free-to-air availability may depend on the specific UK schedule.
Do not assume that US network information published beside an international game is the final answer for Britain.
The 2026 Playoffs
The postseason following the 2026 regular season is scheduled to begin in January 2027.
Sky’s current schedule lists:
- Wild Card weekend from 16 to 18 January 2027;
- Divisional games on 23 and 24 January;
- Conference Championships on 31 January;
- Super Bowl LXI on 14 February.
Sky’s rights include every minute of every playoff game and the Super Bowl. Game Pass also includes the playoffs and Super Bowl as part of its international package.
Channel 5’s multi-year free-to-air agreement includes three playoff games and the Super Bowl, although the specific playoff selections should be confirmed once the postseason schedule is final.
Super Bowl LXI
Super Bowl LXI is scheduled for Sunday, 14 February 2027 at SoFi Stadium in California.
UK viewers should expect the broadcast to run late into the night because of the time difference and extended programme.
The current legal viewing routes are expected to include:
- Sky Sports;
- NFL Game Pass on DAZN;
- free-to-air coverage through 5 under its multi-year agreement.
Final programme times and any additional coverage should be confirmed closer to February 2027.
Can You Watch NFL Games After They Finish?
Game Pass is particularly useful for viewers who cannot follow overnight games live.
DAZN has offered complete replays, Game in 40 condensed matches, downloads and other on-demand features through its Game Pass plans.
The exact replay availability for a blacked-out Sky game should be checked in the current 2026 service terms.
Sky and Channel 5 may also provide catch-up access through their applications, but the availability period can depend on the programme and account.
A replay-focused viewer should compare:
- how quickly games become available;
- spoiler controls;
- condensed versions;
- download support;
- how long programmes remain online.
Watching One NFL Team
A supporter following only one team does not necessarily need the most expensive option.
First check:
- how many games are likely to appear in Sky’s exclusive windows;
- whether the team has an international game;
- how often Channel 5 selects it;
- whether overnight replays are more important than live coverage;
- whether Game Pass blackout rules affect likely fixtures.
Game Pass usually provides the broadest team coverage, but a popular team can appear repeatedly in national or exclusive windows.
Sky may offer better value when the household also watches other sports.
Channel 5 is useful for casual viewing but cannot guarantee weekly coverage of one chosen franchise.
Watching Several Games at Once
A fan following fantasy football or several teams may value multi-game viewing more than a traditional single broadcast.
DAZN has promoted Multiview on eligible Game Pass plans, allowing up to four games on one screen.
RedZone provides another approach by moving between important moments without displaying several complete games at once.
The better choice depends on whether the viewer wants:
- complete control over each game;
- continuous scoring action;
- one main game with occasional updates;
- several devices around the room.
Check device compatibility because advanced multi-game features may not be supported equally across every smart television or streaming stick.
Watching on a Smart TV
Game Pass, Sky, NOW and Channel 5 use recognised applications and platforms.
Before subscribing, follow the provider’s official device information and confirm support for:
- Samsung or LG smart TVs;
- Fire TV;
- Google TV;
- Apple TV;
- Roku;
- Chromecast;
- AirPlay;
- games consoles.
Do not install an unknown application described as a Stream East NFL app.
An application can copy league and team logos without having any connection to the NFL, DAZN, Sky or Channel 5.
Use the direct app-store route provided by the broadcaster.
Watching on a Phone or Tablet
Mobile viewing is useful for evening games, RedZone and travel.
Check:
- mobile-data consumption;
- picture-quality controls;
- download availability;
- casting support;
- notification settings;
- how many devices can be signed in.
A game in high definition can consume a significant amount of data. Wi-Fi is usually preferable for a complete three-hour broadcast.
Avoid browser pages asking users to install a special NFL player, allow unrelated notifications or enter card information for free verification.
Why Stream East NFL Pages May Buffer
NFL demand rises sharply on Sunday evenings, during the playoffs and around the Super Bowl.
An unofficial website may struggle because:
- too many viewers join at once;
- the source server is overloaded;
- the embedded video disappears;
- advertisements consume browser resources;
- several fake players are layered together;
- the page is not designed for the device.
A fast home connection cannot repair an overloaded remote server.
Test an official video service on the same device. When that works normally but one Stream East NFL page continues freezing, the source page is probably responsible.
Why NFL Streams Can Be Delayed
Every online broadcast has a delay because video must be captured, processed, delivered and buffered.
The delay may be especially noticeable when:
- score notifications arrive first;
- fantasy applications update immediately;
- another viewer uses television rather than streaming;
- the stream has a large stability buffer;
- screen mirroring adds another stage.
Refreshing can sometimes move the viewer closer to live action, but it can also create more buffering or advertising redirects.
Official platforms normally provide a more consistent delay than unknown embedded players.
Common UK Viewing Mistakes
Using a US television guide
US network information does not automatically identify the UK service.
Assuming Game Pass has no blackouts
Sky’s selected Sunday games are exclusive during the live window.
Buying Game Pass from an unofficial seller
Use DAZN or the NFL’s verified route.
Assuming Channel 5 carries every team
Its free coverage is based on selected games.
Confusing RedZone with a full game
RedZone moves between scoring opportunities across the league.
Looking for NFL+ in Britain
International viewers are directed towards Game Pass on DAZN.
Following an old season’s schedule
Flexible scheduling can change late-season dates and start times.
Trusting a StreamEast-branded application
The name does not establish ownership, safety or broadcasting permission.
How to Check Any NFL Game
Use this process each week:
- Open the official NFL schedule.
- Confirm the teams, date and UK time.
- Check whether the game is selected by Sky.
- Review the Channel 5 schedule.
- Check Game Pass availability and any blackout notice.
- Confirm whether the event is live or a replay.
- Use the official broadcaster application.
- Recheck the schedule on game day when flexible scheduling applies.
The NFL schedule is location-aware and includes service information for supported regions. Late-season game times can remain flexible until close to the fixture.
Choosing the Best UK NFL Option
For the broadest league access, NFL Game Pass on DAZN is usually the starting point.
For Sky’s exclusive Sunday selections, the prime-time games, European fixtures, playoffs and wider sports coverage, Sky Sports or NOW may be the better fit.
For casual viewing without another sports subscription, 5 and 5ACTION provide selected Sunday games, playoff coverage and the Super Bowl.
Some committed fans may combine Game Pass with Sky or free-to-air coverage because of the Sunday blackout arrangement.
The best decision depends on the team, preferred viewing time and whether full live games, replays or RedZone matter most.
One Official Schedule Is Better Than Several Mirrors
The former StreamEast network made NFL viewing appear simple by placing games from different services inside one unofficial schedule.
After its shutdown, present-day pages using the name should not be assumed to provide the same service or infrastructure.
A copied fixture page may show the correct teams while delivering an unstable feed, misleading advertising or no video at all.
Use the NFL schedule, confirm the UK broadcaster and review Game Pass blackout information before kick-off. The official combination of DAZN, Sky, NOW and Channel 5 provides live games, replays, RedZone, London fixtures, playoffs and free-to-air options without relying on changing domains.
Stream-east.org.uk is an independent informational publication. It is not affiliated with the former StreamEast network, the NFL, DAZN, Sky or Channel 5. It does not host games, distribute applications or provide links to unauthorised broadcasts.
